Toms Cap is a small boutique vineyard situated in Central Gippsland and surrounded by the forests of the Strezlecki Ranges, the ninety-mile beach at Woodside and the natural flora and fauna of the Tarra Bulga national park.
The property features 100 acres of rolling green paddocks with seven acres of vines; twenty acres of planted blue gums and four secluded cottages offering exclusive and award winning accommodation. Close by is the Tarra Bulga national park which is one of only four major areas of cool temperature rainforest in Victoria featuring lush moist gullies, giant mountain ash trees and beautiful tree ferns.
Toms Cap Vineyard provides the perfect setting for that garden wedding to remember forever or for the wonderful vineyard style reception in our purpose built function centre.
Graham and Ann commenced planting during 1992 and have expanded to 6 acres of vines. Our first vintage being our 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Set amongst the vineyard, lawns and gardens of Toms Cap, the restaurant is unpretentious and modern, offering the finest of local produce and providing a dining experience unique to this part of Gippsland.
Our chefs select their produce from the Melbourne markets, local Gippsland farms and our own garden to prepare wholesome, flavourful fare. Regular guests will tell you of their favourite dish. Perhaps our Asian style Pork Belly or our Dukkah coated Lamb Backstrap.
Lunch on the deck or lawns and let the children play among the vines while enjoying our wines complemented with a large range of beers and spirits. We cater for groups, weddings, seminars and that very special birthday.
This is our main restaurant and function room with seating for up to 100 guests as well as offering dining on the deck or adjacent lawns.
The Vines is a smaller and more intimate restaurant and makes the perfect venue for special events and celebrations.
Adjacent to the main restaurant and available for wine tastings and relaxing with your favourite glass of wine and a plate of cheese.
All our wine is made from our own fruit, bottled, cellared and marketed by Toms Cap. Our winemaker is Marcus Satchell.
